The Story of Piao
Piaopiao, daughter of a military household, had long been known for her keen mind and fierce temper. Yet before she came of age, she was drawn into a strange case within the capital. Sensing something gravely amiss, Piaopiao slipped out at night to investigate the case herself. Her movements were soon discovered, and imperial agents gave chase. Thus she fled across fields and rivers, wounded and desperate, with no road ahead—setting the stage for the fateful rescue that would follow.
